Spice Tour 3hrs Highlights
Arrive in Zanzibar and we’ll pick you up from the airport and whisk you away on a 20 minute drive to spice farm deep in Zanzibar’s countryside, and learn the island’s remarkable role in the historic spice trade before we head to our hotel at the fishermen’s village, the vibrant Kiwengwa. Roam through the fragrant spice plantations of Zanzibar and breathe in the scent of an infused past. Led by a friendly and professional guide, get an exclusive insight into the farms on this 3-hour tour.
Nowadays the plantations are a tribute to the island’s colonial past. This is an excellent chance to learn about the turbulent history of the island. Depending on the season, you can find anything from vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, lemon grass, cloves, ylang ylang, cumin, garlic, ginger, coriander, pepper, allspice, tamarind, chilli, and oregano.
With such a wealth of spices, your taste buds will be tingling. An optional lunch is available at the Hakuna Matata Beach Lodge, known for its kitchen delights and prepared with the best of the seasonal fruit and spices introduced to you during the tour.

Jozani Forest 3-Hour Tour Highlights
Head to the south of the island of Zanzibar, where the Jozani Forest awaits you. Take a 3-hour tour through its stunning scenery, experiencing the wonder and delight of your natural surroundings.
The forest is home to a number of endemic species, including the Zanzibar red colobus monkey. The mangrove boardwalk takes you above the swamp, where, depending on the tide, you can see tropical fish flitting between the mangrove roots and crabs scuttling across the mud.
Your park ranger will take you on a nature trail, lined with eucalyptus and mahogany trees, and explain the medicinal properties of various plants. As you walk, learn about the animals, birds, and reptiles that make their home in the various habitats of this tropical rain forest.
Day 3 of 7
Mnemba Atoll in Zanzibar
An early in this morning starts as we need to take a road transfer to reach our collection of Swahili Dhows at Fumba – an excellent location for exploring the wildlife, isolated sandbanks and rugged island scenery of the Menai Bay Conservation Area. Once we set sail we shall spend the day searching for dolphins, sunbathing, and snorkeling the reefs. We shall have time to walk through the sand banks at low tide and eat fresh coconut milk, pineapples, from the surrounding areas.
Lunch will be a collection of Swahili BBQ dishes and exotic seasonal fruits that you can sample prepared in front of you. After lunch you can sail in “ngalawa”, small fishing boats, visit the 500 year old Baobab Tree and have a last dip before we let the sails take us back.

One of the best places for snorkeling is Mnemba Atoll, Located North East coast of the Island. This atoll features an easy dive down to about 20 meters and quite a bit coral, you can also spot dolphins, whales, and sea turtles due to the deeper water in the area.

Spices & Stone Town Tour Highlights
Explore the narrow alleys and winding streets of stone town on this historic look at Zanzibar’s oldest neighborhood. Check out spice bazaars and palaces, see where Rock Legend Freddie Mercury was raised, and pay a visit to a 19th-Century church built atop the site of a former slave market.
Named because of its prevalent use of coral as a building material, Zanzibar’s Stone Town is filled with dense road ways too small for most modern cars. Explore the area by foot with your guide, starting at the House of Wonders. Built as a palace for the second Sultan of Zanzibar, this modern-looking residence was the first building in Zanzibar to have electricity and then continue on to uncover the hidden treasures elsewhere in stone Town.
Pop by the first home of Freddie Mercury, rock legend and lead singer of Queen, snap photos of the weather-worn walls of the 17th-century Old Fort, used to defend the island from the Portuguese, and check out the Christ Church, whose coral stone walls were built atop the site of a former slave market. Before you head back to Sea Crest hotel, make one final stop at a bustling market, where you can weave between spice vendors and antique dealers, letting the aroma of exotic foods lure you to new discoveries, tastes, and one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
