11 Days Tanzania safaris Arusha National Park, Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire

Day 1. Arrival Date

You will be picked from the Kilimanjaro International Airport with our professional Guide and drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge.

Day 2. Arusha National Park

In the morning; we’ll collect you from the hotel and take you to the Arusha National park. The park has an incredible variety of Fauna and Flora, which cannot fail to impress. Visit Ngurdoto Crater. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species. Lunch will be taken at a picnic place and in the afternoon you will continue your tour through the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time allocated for you to observe the wildlife, we will take you back to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge.

Day 3. Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Depart from the lodge in the morning and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park encompasses the northwest bank and part of the alkaline Lake Manyara which itself rests in the Great Rift Valley. The park is perhaps best known for its flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants but it is also the home for a few hundred other species of birds; it is, therefore, a paradise for ornithologists. Next to a great variety of birds, the ‘‘Big Game’’ can also be seen. With a bit of luck, you might see elephants in the wooded regions and with even fortune the tree-climbing lions. Indeed, it was thought for a long time that the Lake Manyara Np is the only place where lions can be found with this typical behavior of climbing trees. Baboons and vervet monkeys are also found amongst the forested areas and in the more open spaces, giraffes nibble at the fresh leaves while the various types of antelopes common to the region browse for tasty shoots. Thereafter dinner and overnight at Maramboi Luxury Tented Camp

Day 4. Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park

In the morning, we will depart from the Lodge and head towards Serengeti National Park across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (Loduare Gate). The stretch of road towards the park’s gates offers a fantastic opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat, often during migration including wildebeests, zebras, impalas, and lions. We will have a picnic lunch at the gate of the Serengeti National Park (Naabi Gate) where you can also follow a trail to the top of the hill which boasts stunning views over the famous Serengeti. With the game drive en-route, we will head for dinner and overnight at Kubukubu LuxuryTented Camp.

Day 5. Serengeti full day

This will be a full-day game drive in the Serengeti and the park has a lot to be seeing and need enough time for game viewing. You will leave the lodge for a morning game drive till afternoon and drive back to the lodge for Hot lunch have a short siesta and back to the park for a late afternoon game drive which is good for the great pictures of animals and the sunset. You will head back to the Camp for dinner and overnight at Kubukubu Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 6. Full Day Serengeti game drive

The Serengeti National park is famous and well known for its annual migration of over 1.5 million white-bearded (or brindled) wildebeest and 250,000 zebra and for its numerous Nile crocodile and honey badger; with your packed lunch head for full day game drive and dinner and overnight at Kubukubu Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 7. Serengeti – Ngorongoro

We’ll commence our journey in the morning where we can capture an abundance of animals as the sunrises over the Serengeti plains.

We will enjoy the game drive at Serengeti National Park in the rolling grasslands, dotted with wildlife, zebras, impalas, and hippos in their pools. In the late afternoon, after lunch at a picnic site, you will drive in direction of the Ngorongoro Crater and soon as you have reached the edge of the crater, the caldera opens up before you. This is an approximate 20 km wide crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to over 25,000 animals. We will visit Maasai Boma and later will drive to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge from where you can witness the Sunset over the Crater.

Day 8. Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning breakfast; and descend to the Ngorongoro Crater this is a highly visited African attraction is the world’s largest inactive, unbroken and unfilled volcanic caldera. At this point, we will get a chance to see a large number of mammals such as the endangered rhinos, mountain reedbuck, jackals, and numerous bird species including white pelicans and flamingos on Lake Ndutu and Lake Magadi. In the afternoon will drive back to the Lodge for late Hot Lunch and free day dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 9. Empakai-Tarangire

In the Highlands area of the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, there are some great opportunities for breaking up a vehicle-based safari and stretching your legs. The stunning but relatively unknown Empakaai Crater lies some 40km north-east of its famous neighbor, the Ngorongoro Crater.

From the moment you arrive at Empakaai, you will be treated to splendid views of the Empakaai Crater. Then accompanied by an experienced guide and an NCA ranger, you’ll begin the 30-45 minutes descent into the crater through the thick, mountainous forest. Down on the Crater floor, there’s superb birding around the lake, and the chance to see flamingos as well as some big game like buffalo, hyena, and elephant, by late afternoon will depart and head to Tarangire National Park for Dinner and overnight at Maramboi Tented Lodge.

Day 10. Tarangire – Arusha

The Tarangire National Park has the highest density of elephants and you can view these animals all year round in which the herds often can reach an impressive number of 300 animals. The Tarangire River has water all year round and during the dry season, between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river for drinking. If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as Lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python! Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching.
