This comprehensive tour includes a seafood lunch, snorkeling gear, snacks, and door-to-door transport from Zanzibar hotels, ensuring a hassle-free day of exploring the coast with ample independent time to enjoy beautiful Nakupenda Beach.

Set out on a day trip to the scenic and secluded Prison Island from Stone Town, Zanzibar. Merely 3.5 miles (6 km) from Stone Town, this small island housed a prison complex constructed in the late 1800s during British colonial rule, which was never utilized. Presently, the island is a sanctuary for tortoises. Depart from Stone Town for a 20-minute northwest ride to reach Prison Island.

Upon arrival, indulge in excellent snorkeling opportunities before encountering the island’s tortoises up close. For the more adventurous, explore hiking trails or take a refreshing swim in the warm, crystal-clear waters.
