Named for its prevalent use of coral as a building material, Zanzibar’s Stone Town is characterized by dense roadways too small for modern cars. Traverse this area on foot with your guide, beginning at the House of Wonders. Initially built as a palace for the second Sultan of Zanzibar, this modern-looking residence was the first building on the island to have electricity.
