6 Day Tanzania Camping Safari
These will be six unforgettable days. A basic camping safari is about experiencing African nature in its purest form. Imagine yourself, along with your friends and family, drifting off to sleep in a sleeping bag with the distant roars of lions, the cackling of hyenas, and the occasional trumpet from one of Africa’s majestic residents in the background. It’s an authentic experience!
This journey provides a unique opportunity to relish dinner under the vast African skies, gather around a campfire, share inspiring bush stories, all while immersed in the symphony of sounds from Tanzania’s wild inhabitants. Whether it’s a lion’s distant roar, a hyena’s playful giggle, baboons barking, or zebras and impalas galloping past, every moment is a connection to the untamed beauty of Africa.
Our package seamlessly combines the best of camping with the comforts of staying in a lodge. Welcome to an extraordinary adventure with Gladiola Adventure, your trusted tour company in Tanzania.
Day 1 of 6: Arrival Date
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our professional guide will warmly welcome you. We’ll then drive to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at the Tulia Hotel and Spa. Get ready to embark on an incredible journey!
Day 2 of 6: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning, depart from the hotel and head to Lake Manyara National Park, situated on the northwest bank of the alkaline Lake Manyara in the Great Rift Valley. The park is renowned for its diverse birdlife, including flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants, making it a haven for ornithologists. Beyond the rich avian population, the park is home to the impressive ‘Big Game.’
With luck on your side, you may encounter elephants in the wooded areas and, if fortunate, witness the unique behavior of tree-climbing lions, a phenomenon long associated with Lake Manyara. Baboons and vervet monkeys frolic in the forested regions, while giraffes graze on fresh leaves in open spaces. Various antelope species browse for tasty shoots, creating a captivating safari experience. Set up camp at Migombani Campsite and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Day 3 of 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park
In the morning, depart from the camp and journey towards Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (Loduare Gate). The road leading to the park’s gates provides a splendid opportunity to witness animals in their natural habitat, often during migration, with wildebeests, zebras, impalas, and lions gracing the landscape.
Pause for a picnic lunch at the entrance of Serengeti National Park (Naabi Gate), where a trail leads to a hilltop offering breathtaking views of the iconic Serengeti. Embark on a game drive en-route, capturing the diverse wildlife that populates the park. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Nyani Campsite, surrounded by the enchanting sights and sounds of the Serengeti.
Day 4 of 6: Serengeti National Park
Embark on a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, allowing ample time for extensive game viewing. Begin your day with a morning game drive, continuing until the afternoon. Pause at a picturesque picnic site for lunch with your packed meal, surrounded by the breathtaking Serengeti landscape.
Resume your adventure with a late afternoon game drive, ideal for capturing stunning images of wildlife against the backdrop of the setting sun. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay at Nyani Campsite, where the captivating sounds of the Serengeti will accompany your evening.
Day 5 of 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Start your day with an early morning breakfast, then proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a remarkable African attraction and the world’s largest inactive, unbroken, and unfilled volcanic caldera. Witness an abundance of wildlife, including endangered rhinos, mountain reedbuck, jackals, and various bird species like white pelicans and flamingos around Lake Ndutu and Lake Magadi.
Later in the day, journey back to Arusha for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay at Tulia Hotel and Spa, concluding another day of unforgettable safari experiences.
Day 6 of 6: Departure Day
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. If time permits, visit the Cultural Heritage site, immersing yourself in the rich cultural offerings. Depending on your flight details, our team will ensure a timely drop-off at Arusha Airport, concluding your remarkable safari adventure with Gladiola Adventure. Safe travels, and we hope these memories stay with you forever!

Wonderful safari experience – highly recommended
The two of us had an absolutely wonderful time for almost three weeks on our roadtrip through Tanzania, visiting several parks. We stayed overnight at most lovely and sometimes remote situated tented-camps. The Tanzanian hosts were always very friendly and helpful. We saw the amazing nature, many, many animals and also the culture of the people.
We thank owner Didas and his team a lot for the personal attention, advice and service, in advance and throughout our trip.
Asante sana to all of you!
